How do I purchase Ethereum (ETH)?

Once you’ve set up your crypto wallet, you can buy ETH from a cryptocurrency seller or exchange. 

Popular exchanges include Coinbase, Gemini, and Kraken. You will likely be asked to register your personal information, enter your bank details, and verify your identity.

Tip from an Artsy Specialist: You may be subject to “Know Your Customer” checks, and transfer of funds can take 3–5 business days. We highly recommend setting up your wallet and purchasing your ETH at least 7 days in advance of the auction to give you the best chance of success.
