We carefully review all submissions. If your submission is a good match for our sellers, we’ll let you know within 1-2 business days and start the following process:
- We’ll share the work with our auction and gallery partners. We’ll keep your name and contact information confidential.
- Interested partners will provide estimates and consignment terms with you via Artsy. You can review and respond to the consignment proposal via email.
- If you’d like to move forward with a proposal, we’ll introduce you to the partner so you can finalize consignment terms directly.
If a work isn't a good match, you should receive an email that we don't have strong demand for the submitted artist at the moment. This is to ensure that we only accept works that have a high probability of bringing a strong result for the buyer.
The matching service that Artsy provides is free of charge. However, once you consign your work to one of our partners, they may charge a commission, as well as costs for shipping, insurance, and photography.
